Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Trasys is looking for an experienced Sr. JAVA Application
Developer for a contract to hire position with a large
financial services company in Cincinnati, OH.
The Sr Application Developer will lead the development team
with analyzing, designing and detailing an architectural
structure for the existing HR financial systems and making
the necessary recommendations to management to improve
business processes. This role is involved in the strategic
direction of systems, determines the tools, languages and
databases to be used in order to meet existing and growing
business needs, while also determining the applications and
hardware needed to interact with future corporate wide
implementations.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Conduct analysis of existing systems and
architecture and identify opportunities for improving
application performance.
· Provides expert technical advice and
counsel to Development team and Management and defines the
technical direction to be followed.
· Assist Development team with
establishing software development standards.
· Evaluate the potential impact of system
modifications or enhancements.
· Establishes Framework / Guardrails that
direct the design and build of technical solutions.
· Present future plans with analysis
models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where
appropriate.
· Assist development teams in assessing
and abating risk
· Assist development team with designing
system architecture discipline across all applications.
· Develop, document and present design
solutions and alternatives.
· Prepare estimates of cost, effort and
duration for development tasks and activities.
· Prepare technical design options;
consult with hardware and software technicians on options
and strategies. Analyze conditions and identify strategies
that minimize implementation risk and/or improve system
reliability and performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience:
· 7+ years programming experience working
with each of the following technologies: Java/J2EE
· 7+ years experience with object oriented
analysis, design and development.
· 7+ years experience with web services
and internet technologies (HTML/HTTP, LDAP, XML, and XSLT)
· Proficient with SQL Server 2000 and
2005, with at least 5 years experience implementing
Microsoft technologies, including development of SQL Server
jobs and DTS packages.
· 7+ years experience and firm
understanding of Software Architecture, Database and server
architecture and design patterns.
· Proficient with SQL Server Reporting
Services and SSIS
· 7+ years experience designing/building
scalable, complex, business critical applications and
systems.
· 7+ years experience performing system
designs, database base modeling and application architecture
design analysis for systems in a Windows client/server or
web enabled environment.
Desired (but not required) skills include:
· Experience in the Property &
Casualty Insurance or Financial Services industry.
· Experience with Fair Isaac Blaze
(Business Rules Engine) and Duck Creek (Rating Engine)
· Experience with Oracle Database
structure and Stored Procedures
· Experience with SLA and PERL
· Experience with Java/J2EE
