Job description:
Concurrent Systems Engineer
This Central New Jersey based company, which provides
end-to-end, turnkey solutions for the Defense and Homeland
Security markets, seeks a Concurrent Systems Engineer with a
minimum of 5 years experience in concurrent systems
engineering for the layout, build and deployment of
concurrent large complex integrated systems, testing
facilities, and simulation equipment, including subsets or
supersets of large complex systems in multiple phases,
parallel or sequentially, with a background in integrated
systems standardization, to ensure effective and efficient
systems integration setups, testing and simulation
facilities, and deployments.
Must have experience with large complex integrated systems
and has worked closely and collaborated with Systems
Engineering, Software Development, and Documentation to
ensure concurrency with integrated systems, testing and
simulation facilities, both on-site and at customer
facilities.
This candidate should also have experience in Software
Configuration Management SCM, Hardware Configuration
Management HCM, Firmware Management, and configuration
documentation and processes engineering and management for
large complex integrated systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
** Experience with collaboration between design and
development departments and vendors.
** Experience with GSR systems integration.
** Experience with RF communications integration.
** Knowledge in network topologies, configuration, and
integration.
** Experience with video cameras systems integration. A
video motion detection background is a plus.
** Hands-on hardware configuration, setup, and integration
experience.
** Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle
multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
** Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging, and growing
environment and implement quick-turn-around concurrent
end-to-end systems, or subsets or superset configurations.
** Ability to work under strict time frames to meet both
internal and external deadlines and customer expectations.
** Experience in creating SCM and HCM BOMs
** Experience with Source Code Management is a plus.
** Experience in tracking and documenting systems
lifecycles.
** Experience in evaluating and approving system
configuration changes, and interrelationships amongst system
components.
** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
** Ability to manage own work and balancing between multiple
projects.
** Ability to adapt quickly to new processes.
** Strong written and oral communication skills.
** Able and willingness to work extended hours if required.
** Ability to lead system integration and test in concurrent
build-outs by example and work well within a diversified
team.
** Excellent work ethics with a high energy level.
** Proactive and positive mindset.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
** BSEE required, MSEE is a plus
** ISO 9001 and ISO 10007 desired.
Experience:
** Minimum 5 years experience in the concurrent engineering
of large integrated systems
** DOD background is highly desirable
** Experience with DHS is a plus
Skills / Aptitudes:
** Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
