Position:       Security Consultant
Location:       Reston, Virginia, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2008-05-23

This position will support the IT Security Manager at a
Federal Agency with activities in support of policy and
compliance initiatives within the Agency. The position
involves ongoing support to the Agencies IT security program
and requires the individual to have a strong working
knowledge of IT security governance and compliance and with
NIST guidelines. The successful candidate will be both
self-disciplined to work on individual tasks and to work
well in a team environment as a representative of the IT
Security Manager and the agencies IT security program. This
position may require research, preparation, and
participation in presentations and briefings.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Experience and understanding of IT Security Policy best
practices.

Working knowledge of NIST 800 Series security guidelines.

Broad-based knowledge of IT security technologies and
solutions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have a degree (Bachelors, Masters) in Computer Science
or a Computer Science / Information Security related
discipline or requisite job related experience.

Excellent oral, written and presentation communication
skills.

Strong computer skills.

Very high energy level with a positive disposition willing
to conform to structured marketing systems, a self-starter
and customer focused
