Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-05-30
If you are an Information Security professional looking for
an organization that places a high priority on security,
then this job is for you. In addition to a centrally located
Northwest county location, a casual work environment,

you will also have the opportunity to work on a wide variety
of security projects. Although the majority of your focus
will be on Applications Security, you will also have the
opportunity to get involved with other information security
projects in the network and systems security area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Key requirements include experience with
mitigating/addressing common applications/web
vulnerabilities such as the OWASP Top Ten list, experience
with common web application languages such as Perl, PHP and
Java Script, experience with code reviews and identifying
security vulnerabilities and experience with Apache web
servers and Apache security controls. Experience with C also
strongly preferred. Although not a mandatory requirement,
the ideal candidate will have previous experience in network
and systems security but will be currently working in an
applications security role. It is also very important that
the individual who is hired possess a good maturity level,
solid business acumen and excellent people skills, enabling
them to balance the need for implementing sound security
practices while at the same time maintaining solid
relationships throughout the organization.
