connections: USB, i.Link Digital Input/Output (IEEE 1394 compliant) DV
in/out, and MMC/SD Card Slot.
You should look in the instruction book as to how to use those inputs.

So it seems you need a converter to go from analog video output on tv
or vcr to digital video input on the firewire port, but I don't know
if these will give good quality images and sound:
