Subject: [CTS] Re: Adding Memory to
Desktop
Two
ways to do this Ralph - either look at the manual for your motherboard or
whole system if available. They tell you what your max capacities are and the
memory types. If this is unavailable then Hal's recommendation (if a brand
name machine) is a good idea.
Do
you know the brand and model of the unit (just the main box not the monitor,
keyboard, etc) as if you do and can post it we can check both Crucial.com as
well as the support site for the maker and do comparison.
No
need to talk to you like a 3 yr old, we're all pretty much kids here anyway
despite our chronological ages. I turn 50 this February even though I act 12
most times but who cares...I refuse to become old
mentally.
Any special rules/precautions/procedures for
adding additional memory or increasing the MB size in slots?
Please speak to me as you would a 3 yr old - I am a 76 yr old
novice. Thanks
