With the Windows CD you can run a Repair.
Insert the CD
Boot
Windows will ask what you want to do.
Run Setup
Into setup it will tell Windows is installed and it can
attempt to
repair the current install.
To start the repair I think, THINK, you hit "R"
just follow
instructions
A repair will wipe out all those updates you just installed
and in my
system, it wipes out IE7 too.
So, after a repair you must redo all the updates and install
IE7.
BUT it works!
