I am a user of a Virtual Dedicated Server with
Plesk 7.5 Reloaded at GoDaddy.com. This morning, all pop3 access disappeared for
all domains. After much search, I think this is the cause:

I added the
<<<<<<<'s.
When I look at /etc/xinetd.d I see the 3
deactivated services there as zero length files.
When I telnet localhost 110 - I get permission
denied.
When I netstat -al | grep 110 - I get
nothing
(same in each case for smtp/port 25 -
qmail)
Since Courier-Imap was pre-installed - I don't have
a copy of the service configuration files to restore into
/etc/xinetd.d
If it makes sense that the "zeroing" of the files
is the deactivation that was logged and that restoring the files will like
restore pop3 services, - can someone please help me get the three
files
/etc/xinetd.d/courier-imap
/etc/xinetd.d/courier-imapds
/etc/xinetd.d/courier-pop3d
OR - if this is likely not the real problem / there
is something I should check also - please let me know.
Thank you folks!
