Hi Matt,

I haven't been able to convert "Mix Tape" with
audio for some reason
(ffmpeg2theora says there's an audio stream there, but won't
output it).
I will try again, using audio and video capture if
necessary. I see
that you cc'd a couple mailing lists. If anyone has advice
on this
matter please do tell.

The last two videos on the page have always been available
as MPEG-1,
which I assumed is free, as there are mpeg1 players in
Debian main and
http://en.wikiped
ia.org/wiki/MPEG-1 doesn't mention patents, unlike
ht
tp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-2#Patent_holders

I may be wrong about the freeness of MPEG-1 and will convert
the videos
to Ogg Theora in either case.

Mike

Theora version now up on the videos page (ubuntu's ffmpeg
isn't built
with AAC support, compiling my own fixed that.)

I, for one, appreciate the ogg theora format and request
that it continues to
be used in the future...

all the best,
