FYI:

There is a FAQ: I used part of a Creative Commons-licensed
work, which
Creative Commons license can I relicense my work under? CC
HQ provides a
matrix to show the compatibility of each CC license:

http://wiki.creativeco
mmons.org/FAQ#I_used_part_of_a_Creative_Commons-licensed_wor
k.2C_which_Creative_Commons_license_can_I_relicense_my_work_
under.3F

However, we found it not so easy for everybody to understand
this matrix
in our country. So that we've worked out a interactive-style
matrix to
help people to get the whole idea. What we done is based on
"(Open
Source) Licenses Wizard v3.0" - a product from our
sister project, Open
Source Software Foundry. We call it "Creative Commons
Licenses
Compatibility Wizard:"

http://creativecommons.org.tw/static/choose/license/li
cwiz

This wizard was first written in Traditional Chinese for our
people.
Later we made an English translation one for all of you:

http://creativecommons.org.tw/static/choose/license
/licwizeng

You can play with it, download its source code, modify it if
you like,
and learn more about "(Open Source) Licenses Wizard
v3.0" or "Open
Source Software Foundry" project from links above.

Please note that this stuff is still quite rough -- we know
there are
much to improve:

  - radios should be checkboxs or buttons
  - uncheck should be better than reset
  - and so on.

Due to lack of manpower/time, we can't release next version
in a short
time, but we hope this stuff can demo an idea about how to
provide such
a complex information to regular people. And, hey, you can
access its
source code directly, so feel free to send us your patch!

Best,
Jedi Creative Commons Taiwan

This is fantastically cool. Thank you. If you don't mind,
we'll
promote it to the main page?

This is excellent Jedi and crew!

Yeah, I think the old-style radio buttons should be removed
and just
make the whole cell selectable for the horizontal and
vertical header
cells. That would be nicer IMO. Also, the top left-hand cell
should be
colored another color or white and be clickable and say
"reset" and not
be a button.

Reset is ok though...more common in English.

Where is the bug/feature tracker and can people submit
patches? Could
you email the cc-devel list about this as well so developers
know where
and how they can contribute to it?

I hear that...maybe we can add to our hackfest when I'll be
in TW in
January to speak at the CC TW conference... Fun!
