So, I wanted to recommend that people check out the new Open
Content
events calendar at Wikevent:

Wikevent aims to document and distribute events information
for the
entire world. They're using some interesting data
organization and
metadata techniques to make it easy for downstream users
(like weekly
newspapers, radio stations, or community Web sites) to
filter their data
stream for events of local interest.

The site uses the Attribution license to keep overhead for
downstream
users to a minimum.
