Hi,

I'm just getting around to putting the finishing touches to
a DVD to
promote "Free Culture". It has a lot of example
media including video
that will play in a DVD player, music, books and photos
which you can
view from a computer, and it will function as a Knoppix
LiveCD when
the computer's reset with the disc in the drive.

I've two reasons for announcing it here (and a few other
mailing
lists) first: firstly, I thought you'd be interested in the
project;
secondly, I was hoping that people would visit the website
as it
stands now and have a look around? Any feedback would be
great! The
content on the site is pretty much what I had in mind, but I
will be
editing/rephrasing bits and pieces over the next few weeks -
the
things I'm most worried about is the possibility of having
mis-represented people/organisations or having completely
left out
something obvious and important!

Like I said though, please feel free to have a look and send
some
feedback - the address is:

http://questionsple
ase.org/freeme

I hope you found this interesting

Greetings;

It seems that Common Content website (http://www.commonconten
t.org/) is
abandoned again. Last time I tried to contact the admin I
even
volunteered myself to help. I never got I response, although
the website
got updated.

Somebody knows something?

Regards;
Enrique

I pinged the site owners. They are caught up with
moderation again.  I
hope we can work out something to make the site more useful
and allow
more to participate.

Thanks for posting!

Agree...I just pinged too...this is common problem with not
having
enough police to help out with a project and moderation. The
*open*
philosophy is let as many as you can help out, but provide
one simple
hurdle for them to help out: registration, 1-2
contributions, etc.

I think if the situation doesn't get better, they should
consolidate
project with other existing ones.
