I happened to notice via http://news.commerce.n
et/?p=44 that
http://en.wikipedia.
org/wiki/X3D is a successor to VRML.  Whoa, VRML
lives, I had no idea. 

Is X3D getting significant uptake?  Is it a hot thing at
Siggraph (Jon)?

If so maybe it is something we should target for a CC
spec/integration
with authoring tools.
