regarding VOIP using telepathy

You have to use stream-engine's dbus API, you can see
EmpathyTpCall,
EmpathyCallWindow and empathy_call_with_contact() from
empathy's source
to see how it works. You could even use directly
libempathy(-gtk) to
make it easier... Don't know if it got ported to maemo 4.0.
