From what I've read before, it has sounded like you're registering, but
not actually trying to make any calls.
      

    

  

  

testcall -h <the host address>; -u <my user id> -p <my password&gt;

--this connects successfully

then


#43 <enter&gt;

it echos:

sending #
sending 4
sending 3

but I see no outgoing network activity and needless to say no sound output happens.

I don't think that works the way you expect.



Try just doing ./testcall misery.digium.com">guestmisery.digium.com



or ./testcall username/passwordhost/number to make the call.




I think testcall can register, and wait for an incoming call, or dial
an outgoing call, but not both.
