I submitted the following patch to the iaxclient.sf.net
tracker.

Patch description:
[1793173] behavioral improvements
Minor behavioral improvements.
Changes:
+ Default to no call selected upon initialization.
Normalizes no active 
call state and makes it easier to detect border cases that
work the 
first time because the first call had been pre-selected.
+ Only stop ringing on a voice event when an outgoing call
is ringing.
