If you want to disable the entire audio subsystem (along
with video
capture) you use test mode (iaxc_set_test_mode).
This functionality was created to support stresstest, where
we do not
want any kind of audio/video I/O
If you just want to disable your microphone (mute effect),
you could
probably just set the input level to 0.
