Gene,
Can you please post your diffs to this mailing list as I am
investigating these issues too.
Thanks a million.
Kind regards,
Frik

Ahh, now I realize where this bug came from; it was the change to
eliminate the dual-ringing issue on outgoing calls.
I think Mikael's patch makes sense: Does it solve your problem, Gene?
I'm not using iaxcomm any more so I can't test Mikael's patch in practice,
but in principle it would have solved my problem as it occurred with
incoming calls only (if memory serves). If Trevor can vouch for it then it
is probably good to go.
I've actually written my own softphone code that uses iaxclient and in the
process have hunted down and fixed (I think) about a half-dozen memory leaks
in iaxclient. I'm happy to share the diffs but am not sure what the best
approach for that is: I can post them to sourceforge or can send them to the
list. Really, I'd like someone more familiar with the library to review the
fixes for sanity. Steve, are you the maintainer of the iaxclient code? I'm
sort of new to the open-source development model so I'm not sure what the
most compliant contribution process is.
I've also been playing extensively (but less successfully) with the
jitterbuffer/native transfer issues I was having and wrote about a couple of
weeks ago. I narrowed down the problem to the fact that negative timestamps
were being improperly handled by the new jb code but changing all the
timestamps to unsigned values created another problem (audio becomes one-way
after exactly 2^17 ms had elapsed on the call). I've gotten native transfers
working beautifully but only if both the old and new JBs are completely
disabled. Maybe I will tackle this more earnestly (and ask more questions
about packet timestamps) after I submit my memory leak fixes.
Best,
