patch: rotating logfiles

Another patch improvement we implemented was rotating
logfile support.
We're using size-based rotation, with a 500M file size
limit.  With the
logging levels turned up you can really start racking up
lines in the
log pretty fast.  For us, since we're running this on
Enterprise Linux 4
(a RHEL4 clone) which only has python2.3, we were limited to
file size
rotation.  We found it preferable to use date-based
rotation, but that's
not available till python2.4, so you could just adjust the
code accordingly.
