A new release of diffstat, 1.42-2, is available. (1.42-1
was briefly
available unannounced, but had a packaging bug.)

do not ignore pathnames in /tmp/, since some tools create
usable
pathnames for both old/new files there (Debian #376086).
correct ifdef for fgetc_unlocked().
updated configure macros CF_GCC_VERSION, CF_PATH_SYNTAX and
CF_XOPEN_SOURCE
add configure check for compress, gzip and bzip2 programs
that may be
used to decompress files.

DESCRIPTION:
============
diffstat reads the output of diff and displays a histogram
of the
insertions, deletions, and modifications per-file. It is
useful for
reviewing large, complex patch files.
UPDATE:
=======
To update your installation, click on the "Install
Cygwin now" link on the
http://cygwin.com/ web
page. This downloads setup.exe to your system.
Save it and run setup, answer the questions and pick up
'diffstat' from
the 'Devel' category.
DOWNLOAD:

Note that downloads from sources.redhat.com (aka cygwin.com)
aren't
allowed due to bandwidth limitations. This means that you
