Ahh, I was thinking for inbound mail only. I think thats the
critical
thing. Recieving an email via SMTP seems fairly simple,
sending one with
the queing and such like would add trickyness.

Thing is setup to send emails with eg postfix is nothing at
all, it
works out of the box. Getting the MTA to put messages into
DBmail is far
messier, and if it could be avoided then so much the better.

heck pointing dbmail-lmtp to port 25 would probably be
pretty close to
all thats needed to have dbmail do the front end for
recieving email
lol. Then if dbmail can handle virus/spam checking so much
the better.
