| Problem Receiving Mails with 2.2.1/2.1.7 |

Hi,
I am having a serious problem. I had installed DBMail 2.1.0 on Gentoo using Portage a while ago. I then downloaded and compiled and installed 2.1.1 manually. I later downloaded, compiled and installed 2.1.7. When I tried
2.2.1 I noticed that it was installing to a different path then I had been running from before. When I tried using 2.2.1 the mail that it received appeared to not being stored correctly - the full message was being stored as headers and it didn't show a from, subject or body. I moved back to my previous version and it worked again. I thought I was on
2.1.7 however I have just discovered that 2.1.7 was also installed to the alternative path so it was still using a previous version (I guess 2.1.0). I just uninstalled 2.1.0 and re-installed 2.1.7 and am having the same problem as I was having on
2.2.1.
I have dropped back to 2.1.0 from portage but I would really like to move up. Has anyone seen this problem and can anyone help please?
Thanks,
David

David,
Have you run dbmail-util -by? You'll need to do that to get
the
headercaches updated and other internal flags correct.
Also, are you using Martin Hierling's ebuild in the Gentoo
Sunrise
overlay?
Aaron

I have run dbmail-util -by - the e-mails that were received before the upgrade were fine it was only the e-mails that were received after the upgrade that have a problem so I suspect it is with dbmail-lmtpd and dbmail-smtp.
I was using the ebuild in the normal Gentoo portage repository for 2.1.0 - for the new versions I was compiling from source.
Thanks
David

Post some log files at trace_syslog = 5. Did you double
check that you
weren't picking up an old DBMail binary? It would not be
safe to have a
dbmail-lmtpd 2.1.0 and a dbmail-imapd 2.2.1, for example.

What ebuild in normal Gentoo portage?
