hello.
i have a working system but the main dbmail-imapd process
has a tendency to die when it has lot's of connections.
i can't tell you why because there is no log. it simply die,
leaving me with 4 Zoombies dbmail-imapd process.
so i can't rely on this system. that's why i'm thinking on
migrating from 1.2.11 to 2.0.4.
there is any complication about this?. is there any thing
that i have to especially take in account.
currently i have 216 with a 3 GB postgresql database.
thanks in advance.
by the way. dbmail its great!!!!! thanks guys.

Above all you have to make sure the migration script works
for your
current schema *before* you try it on your live data.

If you are running on a vanilla 1.2.11 system, that will
most likely not
be a problem. However, if you have upgraded from earlier
releases, you
will probably encounter some problems with indexes. In that
case you'll
have to customize the migration script accordingly.

New tables in database
user name
2005-05-04 18:04:15
I am running the latest Debian release of the 2.1 series
DBMail package.
"Bleedin' edge" i know, but still on a production
server..

After the latest upgrade my mail server choked on several
missing tables in
the database.
Searching the WIKI returned no hits on the table names in
question, so I had
to add the tables in question manually and make an educated
guess on the
field sizes of the character fields.

The tables in question was:
  dbmail_datefield
  dbmail_referencesfield
  dbmail_subjectfield

Is there a developers mailing list that I should be
subscribing to wich could
tell me about these things a couple of days before the
package/new version
was released?

I found no reference in this mailing list of these tables,
and still don't
know the real layout of the tables.

Downgrade to dbmail2-XXsql-2.1.0-1.20050430

I'm busy plugging memory leakage in the 2.1.x codebase but
the last snapshot
release has some problems with double frees that haven't
been committed to svn yet.

Apart from that; keep an eye on the add_header_tables file
in sql/mysql/ that
should contain the latest version of the header tables.

And yes there is a dbmail-dev list. Checkout the website for
more details.
