Somehow I just can't see nfgd.net?
is there a problem if I disallow passive FTP connections via
iptables?

I would have thought so too except I found this in the man
pages:
Alternatively a specific distribution can be
selected by following the package name with a
slash and
the version
of the distribution or the Archive name (stable,
testing,
unstable).

In any event, I tried this and got similar results.

sudo apt-get -t stable source dbmail

Sorry Tom, I cleaned up the repo yesterday. Turns out I
overdid it.

It's working again now. But of course: you can always
rebuild on stable
using a deb-src pointing at unstable. That's the whole point
of
rebuilding packages.
