yes, do you need that one also at level 5?

The problem is that syncing stops at that point, while not
even  
managed to copy 10% of the mailbox.

But I can't see why the APPEND fails other than by seeing a
level5 trace.

which looks kind of weird with the added ' !'. Could be an
encoding issue.
