database maintan problem

Dear all:
     I am trying dbmail for several month .I have a problem
about database
maintance on mysql.
     Every midnight, i scheduled dbmail's maintan
job.Recently some client
reported that some mail cant br received.It seems that when
maintan
job is running,dbmail's table will be lock for rebuild index
or
sometinh else.Any one have the same problem with me? Any
suggestion
will be appreciated^^

What version of dbmail are you using? There was a problem
with earlier
2.2 versions running extensive table checks that was fixed,
iirc.

Depends on the particular maintenance tasks, but some of
them do lock
the tables for a few minutes. ANALYZE in particular does
this. We
_should_ handle this situation gracefully, returning a 4xx
code to the
SMTP server so that it will retry delivery after a few
hours.

I am using dbmail-2.0.11 with mysql.
I will try to upgrad to 2.2.
