Upgrading from 2.2.1 to 2.2.9

I'm not-quite-newbie, but far from expert, and am looking
for guidance
on upgrading a production 2.2.1 system to 2.2.9 (or possibly
2.2.10 if
it's ready soon).  Can anyone point me to straightforward
instructions?

Gordon,

there isn't much to tell. There haven't been any table
changes since 2.2.1. And
no command-line changes either. That's why I call it the
*stable* series: no
surprises during upgrades.

But please wait for 2.2.10 (coming later this week), since
that release fixes a
problem in the message insertion that was introduced in
2.2.8 or 2.2.9 iirc.

Or if you feel up to it: start testing with 2.2.10-rc2
