altough I understand very well that this is not a dbmail issue and I also know why it's happening, I was wondering is there's something dbmail could implement to avoid the common problem of having duplicated folders when using different mail client.

For example here on this computer I use Evolution on Ubuntu, at office I use Thunderbird on Windows and sometimes Mail on Mac OS X otherwise I use Ilohamail as a webmail.. what happens is that everyclients create it's own "Trashbin" folder, it's own "Junk mail" folder and it's own "Sent mail" folder, and now I have 3 dustbins, 3 sents, 3 junks and so on. Obviusly that's driving me (and my users who have the same problem) nuts, because unless something is in the INBOX you would spend a big time searching for anything, plus the big problem of the trashbin never correctly emptying.

Any of you have any brilliant idea to solve this problem?

This is a well known issue, and has been a feature request
for some time.
Noone implemented it though.

This idea has been pitched many times to the IMAP community,
and it
has not been generally accepted as a good idea.

I think it would be really fantastic, though.
