I tracked the evolution problems down to two problems.

First we have a problem, where evolution is requesting a
full list (1)
from the imap server. This fails sometimes, but the UID
numbers are correct.

The other problem is when evolution is asking for a specific
range(1:37).
This lead to problems, that some the UID's in the reponse
are very high or
simple missing.

I think problem one could be a bad message. Problem two seem
to be some
problem in dbmail it self.

Would it help you to give you access to my dbmail test
server for testing
with evolution?

For the latter problem, evolution is not involved. It looks
like a 64bit
issue.
