Lars,

Unless it's been changed in 2.1 I believe all Email
addresses are case sensitive.
At least when I implemented, I had to change my SQL code to
do a lower first on
the name to make sure that it was not <UseRnaMe>.

If you are using the + folder patch that I created for the
2.0 train, then it should
be checking for the folder by any possible case. I had the
same issue with
my Spam folder being "Spam" and the emails
getting sent to SPAM or just spam.
However, when the folder is created (if allowed) it will be
with the case as
configured in the dbmail.conf file.

As I said, these rules apply only to my patch, I don't know
what has been done
in 2.1.x yet.

Subject: [Dbmail] Plused emailaddresses case sensitive

Hello!

I started playing around with plused addresses.

I created a folder "Spam" and sent email to
lkneschke+spamdomain.com. But
it did not work.

Then i discovered, that the plused part is case sensitive.
Most people tend
to write email addresses all lower, but me as german likes
to have the first
letter of the mailfolder to be upercase to better readable.

Would it make sense to make the check if the folder exists
to be case
insensitive?

David,

Lars refers to the sieve code that implements the subaddress
extension.
Functionally equivalent to your patch, but done through the
sieve framework.

ietf-sieve-rfc3598bis-04.txt

Aaron knows whether this draft is the one being implemented.
