DCNW campout announce (no fooling!)

 It's time once again for dc206 and dc503 to come together
in Lewis and 
Clark State Park near Chehalis, Washington.

 This year promises to be bigger, longer and still
unplugged. We will be 
starting this year on Thursday at 3pm and going until Sunday
at 1pm. 

 Another new thing this year is we'll have informal talks.
I'd like to put 
these onto just one day, so we can keep the format and time
loose, but 
still see things through. I'm thinking Saturday, but I'd
love to hear 
people speak up on this.

 If you plan to speak, please email the list with the topic.
I plan to do 
something on dried foods. Please remember that although I am
calling them 
"talks," they are designed to be just as fun as
informative. No fancy 
presentations allowed! Just folks around the campfire
sharing what they 
know. 

 Everyone is welcome. Large containers of alcohol (any
container greater 
than 2 liters) are not. Smaller containers are welcome.
Previous joke 
announcement not withstanding, technology is still highly
discouraged. 
Devices required by work or medical needs are fine. We are
limited to 
about 50 people, so please speak up on list if you plan to
go.

 Although this is not specifically a potluck event, it is
traditional for 
folks to bring more food than they could possibly eat and to
share the 
overflow with others. 

 I am again putting out a call for folks who can to bring
extra firewood. 
There is cedar sold by the camp hosts and the Safeway in
Chehalis, but it 
is $4 for a bundle that lasts for one average fire.

 If anyone has suggestions for other events, please speak
up!

o Lewis and Clark Washington State Park
o June 14th 3pm - June 17th 1pm
o $2.28 per head, per night. Each day people will pay me, to
save the nice 
ranger some sanity in figuring out numbers. Please have
exact change!
o Directions:
   From I-5: Take exit # 68, and head east on Hwy. 12 about
three miles. 
   At Jackson Hwy., turn right, heading south. Continue
about three miles to 
   park entrance.

This is a quick reminder that the camp out will be held
early this year 
from june 14 - 17 at Lewis and Clark state park, near
Chehalis. 

Last year when the ranger had 11 people all handing her
money, needing 
varying amounts of change, it was a nightmare for her. This
year I'd like 
to centralize the money situation a bit and make it easier
for her. IIRC, 
the cost is 2.28 per person, per night (if this is different
than the 
earlier post, then use that amount). I am looking for
someone who is 
willing to handle the money this year who will be there all
three nights. 
I plan to be in attendance, but I do not plan to have much
in the way of 
organization or brains at that time. Collecting money and
making change 
(which should be fairly limited, as I've asked folks to
bring exact change 
as much as possible) and handing that money over to the
ranger each night 
is all that is needed.

Is anyone able to do this?
