Hello,

Trying to build qca (svn) after a long while.
My development qt is on different location.

If I use qconf, qctool always tries to access system qt.
If I use qmake, it seems to be OK, but plugins are not
loaded.

tools/qcatool/qcatool --plugins -d
Qt Library Paths:
  /usr/local/my/Development/kde/qt-4.1.4/plugins
  /usr/local/my/Development/kde/qca/tools/qcatool
qca: checking in path:
[/usr/local/my/Development/kde/qt-4.1.4/plugins]
qca: checking file:
[/usr/local/my/Development/kde/qt-4.1.4/plugins/crypto/libqc
a-openssl.so]
qca: PluginInstance fromFile
[/usr/local/my/Development/kde/qt-4.1.4/plugins/crypto/libqc
a-openssl.so]
qca: failed to load
qca: checking file:
[/usr/local/my/Development/kde/qt-4.1.4/plugins/crypto/libqc
a-pkcs11.so]
qca: PluginInstance fromFile

a-pkcs11.so]
qca: failed to load
qca: checking in path:
[/usr/local/my/Development/kde/qca/tools/qcatool]
Available Providers:
  (none)

PATH=/home/alonbl/my/Development/kde/qt-4.1.4/bin:<snip&g
t;
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/my/Development/kde/qt-4.1.4/lib/:
/home/alonbl/my/Development/kde/qca/lib/

I've make install only qca-openssl and qca-pkcs11.

What am I doing wrong?

Best Regards,
Alon Bar-Lev.

what arguments are you passing to the configure script?

If you use the --qtdir option to indicate which Qt4 you want
to use, you
should be able to pick up the right config.

Thanks!
But in which configuration cmake or qconf?
I used --qtdir in qconf, but it qctool ignores it...

QConf.

Do you mean that, if you use qconf, that the generated
qcatool looks
into the wrong directories ? Are you sure that qcatool is
compiled and
linked against the right qt libraries ? Use 'ldd' on the
binary to
find that out. Are you sure that the plugins are linked
against the
same libraries ? Also check that with 'ldd'.

One possibility is that it might be compiling (and linking)
against
the right Qt library, but dynamically linking against the
wrong one
(due to a missing LD_LIBRARY_PATH, or one that is in the
wrong order).

cheers,
Remko

Based one one of your later emails, is this actually cmake,
not qmake?

Not sure. I'm seeing something similar on a FC6 box. Perhaps
a bug in the
cmake build files.
