Title: Software Verification Engineer 
Location: Lake Oswego, OR 
Job type: Contract 
Duration: Sept 07 through February 08 – possibility for
extension 
Education: BS / MS in EE or CS 
Experience: 3+ years

Key Responsibilities 
- Develop verification test procedures used for verification
of implant
systems. 
- Reviews verification test procedures generated by other
verification
engineers. 
- Execute verification tests on implant systems for both
hardware and
firmware to ensure conformance to specified design
requirements. 
- Review and analyze test results with specific focus on
hardware/ firmware
interactions. 
- Generate and maintain the appropriate work product
deliverables from each
phase of the verification. 
- Review implant systems design documents. The implant code
will be in 8-bit
assembly (68HC05 and 68HC11) and C language. 

Other Responsibilities 
- Follows process and foster a culture of continuous process
improvement. 
- With appropriate training, may serve as verification lead
on projects or
subprojects. 

Required Skills 
- Demonstrate a high level of skill in working in a team
environment 
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or
Electrical
Engineering 
- 3+ years experience in C# programming. 
- Experience working with configuration management, test
management and
defect tracking tools is desirable. 

Technical Skills 
- Experience in creating verification tests using C#. 
- Experience with Visual Studio and .Net are desirable. 
- Strong working knowledge of controlling hardware and
embedded firmware
with software test routines. 
- Experience with software lifecycle processes in a highly
regulated
environment (FDA, ISO, and other regulatory bodies)
preferred.
