Just a plug in your discussion: if you ever happen to need
to do linear 
algebra (e.g. solving systems of equations...) with
arbitrary-precision 
numbers, I'd be willing to adapt Eigen to whatever
arbitrary-precision 
library you like. Of course, for that it is necessary that
this 
arbitrary-precision library has a C++ wrapper.
