My first thought would be to look at the the values for some
known colours
(like KnownColor.ActiveBorder) to decide whether a
night-vision colour
scheme was in use then use a different bitmap for buttons,
or different
colours for drawing vector-like things (or text).
There's also the VisualStylesInformation.ColourScheme if you
wanted to
create a XP style colour scheme. But, I don't know off hand
how you
create an XP style colour scheme...
I think that would be easier than creating a alpha
transparent control
over-top... But, there are some references to creating a
