compile problem under windows

Hi,
I'm trying to compile helix server under windows XP,
and I installed cygwin & VC2003,
I've already compiled successfully under Redhat Linux,
but while I issue the "build" command under
cygwin,
the bash shell tell me that error happened, here is
the error message:

  File "/cygdrive/c/source/build/bin/build",
line 137,
in ?
    import version
ImportError: No module named version

can anyone help me for this problem?
