IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY!
Implement construction, erection and retrofitting to ensure design,
approach and preparation for construction; erection/retrofitting of
houses, schools, clinics are in place.
Supervise Field Engineers and Coordinators assigned in districts to
check quality standards of construction activities. This includes
progress monitoring of construction, erection and retrofitting
activities.
REQUIREMENTS
BS degree or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years relevant, "hands-on" experience.
On-site supervision experience of construction projects required .
Implementation, developing bill of quantities and specifications
experience is required as well as community mobilization and
execution of construction works.
Knowledge of construction methods, traditional and pre-fab is
required. This includes carpentry, masonry, plumbing and electricity
for both traditional and prefab structures.
Assessment, site preparation and execution experience is required as
well as supervision of contractors against contract experience

Manager, Dutch Grant, Sudan
This position is responsible for the overall management of the Dutch
funded program in South Kordofan State. It includes working in
close coordination with staff, local authorities and consortium
members to ensure proper and effective program implementation.
Timely, accurate financial and program reporting is needed as well
as monitoring budgets, procurement and ensuring adherence to the
detailed implementation plan.
The Manager is also responsible for overseeing the monitoring and
evaluation of the program, liaising with SC/Netherlands and
guaranteeing compliance with the guidelines outlined in the agreement
with the Dutch Government.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in development related studies or equivalent experience.
3-5 years program management experience, preferably in a developing
country. Experience in project design, monitoring and evaluation and
proposal writing is essential.
Experience in and working knowledge of community-based relief and
development programs is desired. Previous work experience in Sudan is
an advantage.
