    Hi!

I have Acer Travelmate 3022WTMI laptop with Intel 945gm chip, and i can't get directfb to work.

Currently i have following in grub vga=791, it tells me in boot time that video mode is not valid and i have tried also lot's different combinations like "video=intelfbres...." etc. but nothing helps.


I always find following lines from dmesg:

intelfb: Framebuffer driver for Intel(R) 830M/845G/852GM/855GM/865G/915G/915GM/945G/945GM chipsets
intelfb: Version 0.9.4

intelfb: Non-CRT device is enabled ( LVDS port ).  Disabling mode switching.
intelfb: Video mode must be programmed at boot time.



There is no /dev/fb, or is it /dev/fb0.. 
also /proc/fb is empty.

The X works fine with i810 driver. 

These are from lsmod
i915  ;           ;      17408 ; 2 
drm   ;           ;      54036 ; 3 i915


intelfb is compiled in kernel.

The vesa driver works fine. Currently it is not compiled at all.
