I did not know this.
I may be caused by the creation of the fake root window to
mimic X11 at startup.
I've been looking at this and don't see a way to not do it
without
breaking the X11 api that gdk uses.

Maybe we can make it a clear window dunno.

Offhand this should work not sure why your having problems
you prob
need to open your own pty.
