At least pserver should work with only the path and hostname
changed.

With ssh you need to export CVS_SERVER=git-cvsserver
additionally.

Maybe I did something wrong when I tried pserver.

This one, I didn't try, on the git route.

Well, I have to admit, at the time I tried to do all this I
was after a
quick solution as I only actually wanted linux-fusion to be
pulled after
a kernel upgrade, but for the future, I'd really like to fix
my ebuilds,
and I also thought (like Richie did too, please see the
other branch of
this thread) about proposing an overlay. What do you think,
dok, of an
overlay for layman? I'd try to fix the ebuilds I need,
anyway, in my
local overlay.

Regards,
Lucian
