Yes, if the game is deep linked, then it remains on your
server, so simply checking back in with scripts on your
server isn't enough.
This is why you need to insert a code within the HTML page
for the dcr to read as a param, which then must be checked
back with the server. This means, in order to embed your
game, the embedding page must find a way of generating the
same code to insert into their own HTML.
Another interesting method described by Valentin Schmidt
recently is to use a bit of javascript to obtain the
document location:
