last time I read something about lingo being 5x faster than
AS3.

seriously, I don't think, that you simply can
"translate" AS3  
performance in flash to AS3 performance through SpiderMonkey
through  
director.

Last time I checked ECMA in director was noticeably slower
than lingo.
