I've had direct experience of being stung by a company
offering unlimited bandwidth. My site's traffic was
increasing month by month, and I contacted the company
(fasthosts - who I notice no longer offer unlimited
bandwidth) to try and pre-empt any problim this might cause.
They insisted they could handle any amount of transfer that
might site could generate. See:

Not long after, they shut down hosting of my site with
absolutely no communication. When I phoned up to find out
what was going on, I was treated as though I had knowningly
been abusing abusing their service.
