ARGH Flash textField line count

I just don't get it.

I'm creating a textfield on the fly, autosized and a certain
width.

I want to see how many lines it actually has. I'm trying all
kinds of  
stuff - even maxscroll, which comes back as 1 whether it's a
one or  
two line textfield.

I was even doing some math based on the the fontsize and how
_height  
or textHeight of the field; I've got all this tracing going
on - when  
I have the tracing the math works, but if I omit tracing, I
think  
that the textfield isn't populated properly -- as the math
is coming  
back entirely wrong.


Totally frustrating.

Give the dynamic text field a name, say
"my_field", and then look at 
my_field.textHeight.
