Unzip Xtra Blues

The Unzip Xtra seems to be broken on OS X version 10.4.8.
This is a
major headache, as there does not seem to be any 3rd party
replacement
out there.

At present, I'm exploring two work-arounds:

* launching an external unzip app to handle the unzipping.
* developing a substitute Xtra using the zLib compression
library.

Anyone else having an issue with this?

on osx you can use the shell xtra and the built in unzip CLI
 
application.
