I've seen this sound bug on both Windows and .. a new Mac,
actually.
Totally closed the browser after 10-15 seconds of playing
the game.
On Windows we tend to get weird sounds before the crash, on
Mac it just
crashes. I can repro the problem here on two other people's
laptops, my
Sony Vaio, the office Mac ... every time (though don't ask
me what kind
of Mac it is - I don't do Macs!!)
If I can see it here on no less than four machines and
another one at
home ... it MUST be traceable / fixable. As Lucas said, a
bunch of
list-dwellers tried to get MM to do something about it a
while ago, but
of course it was falling on deaf ears (excuse the sound bug,
deaf ears
pun).
Maybe it's time they got some better QA? Oh, wait ... they
didn't have
QA in those days, did they? How else do you explain an IDE
with a single
undo? :p

What platform?
Please please please please mention this information.
Whenever we reported a bug at Macromedia, if we didn't
report the
platform, we would be shot and killed. After been certified
dead, we
would be brought back to life and then shot and killed
again.
When you report the bug/issue, report the platform.
