Hi All,

Thanks for all the great feedback for the Kids Next Door
game! It's all been very useful, and I will respond to them
soon but it's been a bit hectic here just recently.

The reason partly being that we have another game just about
to go live too, this time a driving game. 3 Levels (woods,
snow, desert). Reach the checkpoints within the time limit,
make sure you don't run out of oil or fuel by collecting the
oil and fuel cans, and don't wreck the car by crashing or
rolling it too much.

Default keys: arrow keys, c = change to cockpit view

Features which may be of interest:

Auto detection of PC capabilities, which attempts to select
appropriate display features based on the result. You can
manually adjust the display settings by going to 'define
options' -> 'display settings'. Any comments on whether
it seemed to picked roughly the right settings for your
machine's capabilities would be great.

Visual damage on car

Real dynamic scene reflections on car

Tasteful lens flare :-P

Different Particles/Sound/Grip for each type of surface
(grass, mud, gravel, asphalt, snow, sand)

Cockpit camera view jolts in response to car movement

Again, any bug reports, gameplay criticisms or comments of
any kind are greatly appreciated! This is a preview link,
and will be removed after a few days, before the final site
goes live.

Enjoy!

- Ben

It seems that on my slow machine the time stretches quite a bit. Car accelerates and handles slowly and "off road" seconds count more like 4 seconds each. Are your calculations synced to the frames, and not delta-time between events? Physics and graphics seemed pretty nice! -toni Duck wrote: > Hi All, > > Thanks for all the great feedback for the Kids Next Door game! I had the same issues, but I'm running Windows Vista so it could be a driver problem. I also don't think it was using hardware acceleration (bloody drivers). I tried with my 2nd monitor off and also under the windows vista basic theme but it didn't make any difference. Here are my computer specs: Browser: FireFox 2.0.0.1 & IE 7 Os: Windows Vista Business RTM x86 (32bit) Cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 (2.4GHz) Ram: 2gig DDRII 667 Video: nVidia 7600GT AstrO Toni Aittoniemi wrote: > > It seems that on my slow machine the time stretches quite a bit.
