Looks like I've got it fixed. Havok xtra doesn't like multiple instances.
With two copies of the game running, they both basically share the Havok
instance.....in a very buggy way. What I ended up doing is writing the level
number into the restitution of one of the rigid objects when I create the
level. I picked a passive rigid body where wouldn't be an issue for my
physics code to mess with the restitution. I check that value against my
level number every frame. If they are not the same, it means that the other
game has messed with the havok data.
I think this works because both games, for whatever reason, write the havok
data into the same block of memory. I guess you could use Havok to send
messages between two shockwave moves running on the same computer....NOT
that I'm suggesting it.
