Not without some fiddling, no. But Adobe apparently doesn't
care that much
and waits until the full Director Update to fix it. They
forget that Flash
couldn't have been bought by Macromedia if it hadn't had the
cash that
Director for Mac generated. Adobe also used to be a Mac
outfit, as memory
serves me right. Not anymore.
The fiddling involves putting the browser in Rosetta mode so
it runs in
emulation. Select the Safari app (or other browser) in the
Finder and do a
Cmd-I (Get Info) on it. In that pane you can change if
Safari runs natively
or in Rosetta. Not something your avarage Web site visitor
will (want to)
do.

Macs do run Vista nowadays. Oh wait, does Shockwave run on
Vista? Yes it
does, Vista is not that different than other Windows OS's.
