I need some examples of Director apps - non game but, media
related
(only for showing what can be done from a GUI perspective).
Do you
know of any sites that contain something similar to this?

That Rosetta Stone application that's sold EVERYWHERE, like
in
magazines and airports is done in Director.

Not sure if this counts as not a game - at least in the
tradional sense of
the word, but i was involved in writing the 3D track editor
for Scalextric
Sportworld. The complete application (all written with
Director) was pretty
comprehensive, several modules including car catalouge,
performance tuning,
telemetry readouts etc. The track editor itself was quite
involved with an
extensive feature set, taking inspiration from 3D modelling
software.

DOH. I also was the lead on the Glencoe McGraw-Hill Spanish
2000 4
CD set.

That's an app that went out to millions of students in the
US to
learn proper Spanglish and Spanglishese.

Do they need to be web based? What sort of hooks are you
looking at showing
off? I have two things that are both offline (CD) apps which
may fit for
you.
